it happened 3 yrs ago and i want to know my best option. i would like to fix credit in a years time
i m not blaming him or her i understand the fair and square. i just herd that with some dept with collections u can pay up and get it wipe off ur record if u get it in writting. i was not sure if this was the same case

No, you cannot remove it. It must age it’s way off your record.

No you can not remove accurate information. The repossession will have to age off, the reporting time is 7 years.
You cannot remove a repo if the person actually had a repo. Since in a previous question you stated the hubby got divorced, but retained the vehicle and could not title it due to the wife doing whatever…and then it got repoed..that means him and probably the ex wife have this on their record. The lender for the car doesn’t care that their union ended, they just want their money and didn’t get it.
He earned that repo fair and square, it will not be removed because of what she did or didn’t do that may have led to the car being repossessed.
You may be waiting another 4 to 7 years for it to age off his report. If you pay the lender or collection company the shortfall if they sold it at a loss, you may be able to ask them to mark it paid or something, which would look better on the report than a repo with an open amount still owed.
